Everyday Heroes
Everyday Heroes
(4) Why This TWA Pilot Was a Real Everyday Hero!
Most of my podcasts are about normal, Everyday Heroes. But when you hear retired TWA Captain Bill Kirschner describe how he literally saved 4 people's lives, that’s when he went from Everyday to Real Hero!
When you listen to Bill’s adventures as a pilot/instructor for Saudi Arabian Airlines, on temporary assignment from TWA, you'll be entertained and amazed at how turns the challenge of flying in a totally different cultural and geographic environment to his advantage.
You'll also be inspired at how he not just survives but thrives for 8 years, flying in some of the most desolate, remote desert regions of the world; and that's just the beginning!
When he wasn't flying out of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia he would hop on a Saudi airliner and fly to join his wife and kids where they rented a different villa every year in exotic places like southern Spain, Italy and the Netherlands. All this, while he was managing the Saudi Arabian Airline Boeing 707 pilot training program.
Listen as he talks about training the Saudi pilots, whose memory of the Koran helped them to completely memorize the Boeing 707 flight manual! But that wasn't all that they needed to be a safe, competent pilot...
